Lineage II Humans

Humans have an interesting history as their beginnings were somewhat accidental and for many a scholar also an embarassment. The human race entered into the mortal realms through the jealously of the god of destruction and those things dark, Gran Kain. Watching Einhasad create the other races, Kain attempted to create another race but in his own image. Unfortunately, Kain had not the powers of creation and was forced to use the left overs from the other races. The human experiment was a disaster where humans turned out to be weak, stupid, sly, and cowardly, fit only to serve as slaves to the other races.

At a point in history however, the fate of humans did change when they formed an alliance with the elves who taught them the ways of learning and magic. Unanticipated by the elves was the proficiency of humans to learn and change and before long, humans had evolved into a creature well balanced and exceedingly skillful. Before long, Humans through their huge numbers and these many proficiencies moved into the place of predominance to conquered and rule most of the continents.

Human Special Abilities

While humans do no have any special abilities, one of their most enviable features is the ability to advance towards the most specialized of classes.

Humans at a Glance

Perhaps because they were originally created from the left overs of all the races, humans are a very well balanced in all of their characteristics.

Human Fighters

Basic Character Statistics
Int: 21 Str: 40 Con: 42 Men: 25 Dex: 30 Wit: 11

The fighter class relies mainly on strength, conditioning and the more physical attributes. Most fighters are most proficient when engaging the enemy at close range but with some training, can also become adept at using archery. Human fighters make very well balanced fighters able on the one hand to dodge and land quick blows while on the other to strike with a great deal of force. In some ways the human fighter can be though of as a cross between the fighting styles of the hugely powerful orc and the agile elf.

As the human fighter gains experience and trains in the physical arts, they are able to progress to higher classes. Indeed, one of the main advantages of the human class is a proficiency towards learning and the consequent ability to advance to most of the combat related professions.

Human Mystics

Basic Character Statistics
Int: 41 Str: 22 Con: 27 Men: 39 Dex: 21 Wit: 20

Human mystics are not overly popular in the world being stereotyped as individuals constantly sitting in a backroom and pouring over books. The Mystic is the exact opposite to the fighter, relying on wits and intelligence instead of physical brawn. The last place you would ever expect to see a Mystic would be in the front lines of battle engaged in melee combat. Due to the adaptable and balanced nature of the Human race, Mystics are fantastic learners and are able to cast all forms of basic magic with the exception of orc.

Much of what it means to be a Mystic is a diligent focus on learning and working towards becoming a powerful wizard. Mystics are however able to do some minor solo adventuring utilizing mostly the wind strike attack magic.
