Lineage II Elves

Elves were the first race created by Einhasad and instilled with the spirit of water by Shilen. In the time of peace after their creation, they were as second only to the giants acting as liasons and politicians. After the time of the giants, the elves attempted to take the place of the giants, but were too few in number and couldn't match the military might of the orcs. It was the elves who were responsible for teaching the humans the ways of learning and magic, unintentially creating the dominant racial force on the earth. Indeed it was over this betrayal by the humans that the elves eventually split in a gruesome manner with their brown skinned cousins, the dark elves.

Elves today are content to be out of a position of power and tend to keep to their woodland homes. In the woods, their already strong grasp of the magical arts is enhanced, making the woodlands truly a domain of their own. No race could stand a chance at open confrontation with the elves while within their forest trees.

The elves are beautifully creatures, extremely agile and incredibly smart making proficient magic users and exceptional archers.

Elven Special Abilities

Elves, relative to the other races are able to hold their breath much longer, and also jump from high places (probably as a result of living within the trees).

Elves at a Glance

Elves are extremely quick both in physical prowess and with the mind. They are very adept magic users therefore able to cast intricate spells very quickly. Elven agility is legendary making them of the best marksmen and highly adept at dodging blows in close combat. Elves however are among the weakest of the races when it comes to raw physical strength.

Elven fighters tend to be younger elves and while in melee combat, focus on quickness of foot and the blade. Lacking in the physical strength of the other races, elven fighters are usually found equipped quite lightly with a sword and leather armor. It is quite common to see an elven fighter acting as a spellsword by healing themselves with magic during combat.

The elven defense in melee combat is speed which requires a very stoic mind. Unlike other races that might be able to fend off a blow, the elf must rely on their speed to avoid what might be a single fatal strike. Additionally, lacking the physical strength to land a heavy blow, elves aim more for quick strikes and targeting precision.

The elven mystic, in their relationship with nature, will draw upon the power of the spirits to cast their spells. Similar to human mystics, elven mystics usually are usually dressed in robes and carry staves to enhance their casting abilities. In return for borrowing the powers of the spirits, the elves also will use their powers to protect nature against harm.

The elven mystic's have the highest WIT in the game making them the fastest of spell casters and able to move extremely quickly when hunting. Elves are unable to draw from any of the powers of dark magic.
