Lineage 2 Tsunami Update (~$330 USD Donated)

Well I must admit the response from the community in terms of guides submitted was a bit disappointing, but some good comes out of it nonetheless. First off, thanks to F4yrinly who's had $10US donated on his behalf to the relief today.

Beyond F4's contribution however, I've decided to donate the funds that were set aside to the red cross anyways. When I told my idea to friends and family they were quite happy to offer to help out if needed. Unfortunately since it wasn't, I've only got the original $200 of my own which my gfriend donated $80 of.

That said, despite not having many guides submitted, $200CAD from lineageii.com + $200CAD from the Canadian government have still been donated to Tsunami Relief (~$330USD).

Here's what our Donations will help to buy

Because of the widespread scope of this disaster over 12 countries, the cost of relief will differ from one area to another. Here is an idea of how your donation can make a difference:

Those in affected areas need to use water purification satchels to make the water safe for use. $100 pays for enough satchels to purify over 20,000 litres of water

A $70 donation will provide one family of 6 with hygiene materials to last one month. Each hygiene kit contains toothpaste, tooth brush, shampoo, toilet paper, soap, sanitary pads, razors, washing detergent and towels.

The Canadian Red Cross is compiling and packaging 50,000 of these kits to deliver to families in Sri Lanka.
