Lineage II Dragons

Dragons today are presumed to be decendants of the 6 born through Shilen's horrible labour and therefore are direct descendants of the gods themselves. As Shilen gave birth to a hord of demons after being betrayed by her father and lover Gran Kain, the greatest of her demon children were 6 mighty dragons. Six dragons born with curses against the 6 gods who'd turned their backs on Shilen in her time of need.

The Dragon Commanders

Shilen in her hatred for the other gods organized her army of demon children to attack the heavens. At the head of this attack were the strongest of all demons, her dragon children. Despite some resistance from Aulakirai, the dragon of light, the Dragons resigned themselves to their fate and brought a terrible war on the heavens.

War on the Heavens

So powerful were the Dragons and their horde of Demons, that the war on heaven was fought for many years to a stalemate before the tide turned in the favor of the Gods. In spite of suffering many injuries, Gran Kane and Einhasad had stronger powers and destroyed many demons. Despite the losses and being riddled with deep wounds and scars, the dragons kept on fighting. Eventually however, as the war dragged on and the dragons became more fatigued, it became apparent that if the war stayed its course, it would end in the extermination of all of Shilen's army. In the end, the dragons and Shilen's remaining demons fled to and scattered to the earth with the Gods too injured to follow and finish off the force.

Dragons of Today

Less is known about the origins of the dragons today but it is rumoured that they are decendents of the coupling of the great six.
